In January 2002, on the banks of River Indus at Leh, Lt. General Arjun Ray, PVSM, VSM (Retd.), a visionary par excellence, drafted the vision of an IB school that would impart holistic education. It was a vision as encompassing and nurturing as River Indus itself. With his foresight and conviction on the universalism of human values, the Indus International School, Bangalore was established on 14th July, 2003. Currently, it is adjudged India’s Best International Day-Cum-Boarding school for nine consecutive years.
The Indus International School, Bangalore, (IISB) is an International Baccalaureate (IB) school situated on a 40-acre campus at Sarjapur, Bangalore, India, which was established by the Indus Trust in 2003. Subsequently, to sustain and to ensure the students of a brilliant learning experience, the school graduated from Grade IX to Grade XII in just three years. Today, it is one of the largest and most diverse schools in Bangalore from 33 countries, of whom 30% are residing on the campus.

The school has been ranked the best international school in India for eight years in a row (2012–2019) in a survey by C-Fore/Education World. The School Motto is the Latin phrase “In Omnia Paratus” (“Prepared for all challenges”)
