About Apollo Shine

Apollo Hospitals has always been very conscious about the impact of lifestyle choices on general health of citizens.

Specialized health checkups were created by Apollo Hospitals more than 30 years ago. Even the state of the art multi speciality Apollo Children’s Hospital that opened in 2009, has been involved in regular student health awareness and teacher training programs. Three years ago, looking at the decreasing ages for the incidences of NCDs like Heart Disease, Diabetes, Cancers… Apollo Hospitals decided to roll up its white coat sleeves once more and do something for the student community. Something that would be more effective. And something that would be in sync with the needs of present day parents, teachers and of course students.

The Goal: to make inroads into student psyche and impress upon them the importance of health, healthcare and the implications of lifestyle choices though an involved on-campus program.
So while a popular saying goes: it takes a village to bring up a child; we at Apollo believe that sometimes it takes a child to save a village!

And thus Shine was born.

Today the Apollo SHINE Foundation is a not for profit initiative by the Apollo Hospitals groups that focuses on Campus Health across 100 campuses and covers close to two lakh students. With utmost care and sincerity.
